Overview:

We are currently seeking a Support Workers to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and assistance to young people with various mental healthcare needs. If you have a passion for helping others and possess the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply.

This role does not require you to provide any personal care, its to support and accompany a young person, that is suffering with their mental health, including days out, trips to the shops and just having fun and encouraging them to live independent lives.

We have vacancies for Waking nights and Day staff, 12 hour shifts can accommodate full or part times positions

Ideally support workers will have experience working with young people with mental health and complex needs.

Duties:

  • Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal care, cooking, daily activities, shopping

  • Administer medications according to prescribed instructions

  • Provide emotional support and companionship

  • Assist with meal preparation /Cleaning

  • Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment

  • Transport individuals to appointments or outings as needed

Skills:

  • Knowledge of care facility terminology and procedures

  • Proficient or willing to train in medication administration

  • Experience working in residential care homes, for children and young people.

  • First aid certification is a plus

  • Ability to provide compassionate care and support to individuals in need

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
