Every role in Staffordshire Fire and Rescue, including those in the shared service, exists to support the overall aim of achieving a safer and more sustainable community. This can take many forms, including conducting Home Fire Risk Checks, marketing the service to the community, coordinating training, or taking calls in our contact centre.
As you can imagine, achieving our overall aim depends on a variety of people with a range of skills, backgrounds, and experiences.

Purpose:
The role of a Community Engagement Support Volunteer will assist Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers and members of Police Staff/Crime Commissioner Staff by supporting local events within the community. The Volunteer will be required to:
- Distribute leaflets containing information regarding crime initiatives and local or Force wide information to residential addresses and business premises as required
- Engage with the community whilst representing the Force at local events held within Police premises or at alternate venues
- Support with the barrier at Police Headquarters to allow guests into Force led events and engage with guests as they enter the premises
