Tring Sports Centre is operated by Tring Sport and Leisure Ltd which is a wholly owned trading subsidiary of Tring School. Tring Sports Centre has extensive leisure facilities including a sports hall, a swimming pool, astroturf pitch, group exercise studio, hard courts and grass pitches. There are also classrooms and halls which are let out for community use after school and at weekends.

The role of a Lifeguard:

Lifeguards have one of the most important jobs at our centres, that of keeping our customers safe in and around the water.

Tring Sports Centre Lifeguards also perform other duties, such as cleaning assigned areas, setting up and breaking down various activities and events.

We are passionate about delivering the best customer service and getting our community active. Every team member plays their part, working within a diverse and dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

In order to be considered for a Lifeguard position at Tring Sport Centre you need to be a strong swimmer, and have excellent customer service skills. You should also have:

• A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
• Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation
• Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to appropriately correct behaviour of pool users where necessary
• A high standard of physical fitness
• Confidence and an approachable nature
