We are looking for Sous Chef, or experience Chef de Partie, to support our Head Chef, Hermann in delivering high-quality meals for our staff restaurant, ensuring excellent standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, maintaining compliance with food safety regulations, and contributing to menu planning and cost control.

This is primarily a Monday to Friday role, with coverage every other Saturday, working 7am - 4pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen management and food preparation.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to company standards and served in a timely manner
  • Supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and provide training where necessary
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and adhere to HACCP and food safety guidelines
  • Monitor stock levels and reduce food waste
  • Support menu development, including healthy and seasonal options
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

  • Cover for Hermann when he's off on holiday

  • We are looking for a Sous Chef or an experienced Chef de Partie with experience in a similar environment

  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge or modern cooking techniques
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and allergen management
