We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join Anaplan's Persistence Infrastructure Team in York, Manchester or London, where you will be responsible for managing some of the Kubernetes infrastructure that powers Anaplan's SaaS product offerings. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, and you'll have the opportunity to work with many different technologies. You will be contributing to the growth and expansion of the business and, in parallel, supporting the evolution of our technical stack through the implementation and adoption of new technologies. You will report to the leadership within the Persistence Infrastructure Team.

Your Impact

  • Provisioning and maintaining Apache Pulsar Infrastructure on Kubernetes for Event Driven Architecture
  • Developing and deploying software and tools for managing the lifecycle of persistence services such as Kubernetes operators, configuration management tools, shell scripting etc.
  • Working with technologies on Kubernetes such as MySQL databases, messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Pulsar) and caches (Redis)
  • Troubleshooting alerts, incidents and platform performance issues
  • Managing regular patching and upgrade cycles for Infrastructure and Software
  • Managing security vulnerabilities and performing platform hardening activities
  • Developing automation to remove manual tasks
  • Developing and maintaining observability dashboards and alerting
  • Collaborating with Software Engineers and Users across the business

Your Qualifications

  • Operational experience with Apache Pulsar or Kafka
  • Experience working with Kubernetes
  • Experience in Linux system administration
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tooling
  • Comfortable with scripting for automation

Preferred Skills

  • Software development skills in any language (we use Go)
  • Database administration - especially MySQL
  • Previous experience with Percona, RabbitMQ & Redis
  • Knowledge of Open Telemetry
  • Experience working in an agile framework or method, i.e., Scrum, Kanban
