Power BI Developer
to join our data and reporting function, driving better business outcomes through well-designed dashboards and optimised data pipelines.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE
As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing interactive dashboards, optimising SQL queries, and preparing data for reporting. This role bridges business intelligence development and light data engineering, ideal for someone passionate about both
data preparation and visualisation
without requiring full-scale data engineering responsibilities.

How You'll Succeed
Designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI

Writing, testing, and optimising SQL queries to extract, transform, and prepare data

Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and create meaningful visualisations

Managing data models in Power BI, including DAX calculations and measures

Ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy across all reports and dashboards

Working with IT and data teams to connect to various data sources (databases, APIs, files)

Supporting performance tuning of dashboards and queries for optimal efficiency

Providing documentation and user training for reporting tools and dashboards

What It Takes
Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports

Proven experience with Power Automate

Strong SQL skills for data extraction and preparation

Understanding of relational databases and data modelling concepts

Familiarity with DAX and Power Query (M language)

Ability to translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail

Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications
Experience with data warehouse concepts or ETL tools

Knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar)

Exposure to scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)

Basic understanding of data governance and security practices
