About the Role
TSM Technical is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer and service provider of automatic pedestrian door systems and aluminium shopfronts.
We are looking for experienced Automatic Door Service Engineers based in South Manchester or North Cheshire. This role is not suitable for applicants outside these areas.
You will work across service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of automatic door systems, with full product training and ongoing support.
Responsibilities
- Carry out service, maintenance, and repairs on automatic door systems
- Respond to reactive call-outs, scheduled services, and planned maintenance
- Occasionally assist with installation projects
- Liaise with the office for scheduling and completing electronic paperwork/portals
- Deliver excellent customer service, working independently or as part of a team
Requirements
- Must be based in South Manchester or North Cheshire
- Experience in servicing & maintaining automatic doors
- BS7036 / EN16005 certification (essential)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong organisational & communication skills
- Flexible, enthusiastic, and team-oriented
- Willingness to undergo a disclosure/DBS check
Pay & Benefits
- £15 – £18.50 per hour (DOE)
- 40-hour working week
- Door-to-door travel paid
- On-call allowance: £270
- Call-out hours at 1.5x standard rate
- Overtime: 1.5x Monday–Friday
- Weekend work: 1.5x pay
- Efficiency bonus (monthly, team-performance based)
- 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
