We, the new owners are often referred to as The Sidecar Guys - best known for circumnavigating the globe by scooter and sidecar. Now as we take on our next project as owners of The Drift Cafe we're determined to create a fantastic working enviroment. Job Summary

We're looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our friendly team at The Drift Cafe, Cresswell. As a key part of our kitchen team, your main responsibility will be washing pots, pans, utensils, and equipment to keep the kitchen running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all pot washing duties, ensuring dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned promptly and to a high standard.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dishwashing areas.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required (e.g., washing and chopping vegetables).
  • Support chefs during service by keeping clean equipment and crockery available.
  • Clean kitchen appliances and surfaces regularly.
  • Dispose of waste properly and follow recycling and hygiene procedures.
  • Follow all health and safety and food hygiene regulations.

Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience as a kitchen porter or in a similar role is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good teamwork skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.

Both part time and full time positions available with both day time and evening hours required.
