New Earswick Primary School are looking to recruit a suitably qualified Teaching Assistant (TA2) to support a a pupil with SEMH needs.

The role will involve working 1:1 both in and out of the main classroom under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCO.

The Position Is Term Time Only And Is Available From January 2026 Fixed Term Until July 2026 Although This May Be Extended. The Successful Applicant Will

  • Have relevant qualifications and experience in working with children, with possible experience with those with additional educational needs.
  • Be flexible in their approach to the needs of the child.
  • Have high expectations of all children.
  • Be willing to take part in relevant CPD in order to support the child.
  • Be able to work with outside agencies and communicate with parents effectively
  • Be resilient and patient.
  • Be creative and fun.
