The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join a dynamic team of educators. You will play a key role in inspiring Year 2 and Year 3 pupils through imaginative and engaging Art and Design lessons, helping them develop creativity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
This position is perfect for a teacher who thrives in a creative environment and is eager to make a lasting impact on young learners' artistic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Art and Design to Year 2 and Year 3 pupils in an engaging and structured way.
- Encourage students to explore a variety of art media, tools, and techniques.
- Foster creativity, self-expression, and confidence in young learners.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that supports individual artistic growth.
- Encourage students to take creative risks and express their individuality through art.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support cross-curricular projects.
- Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities, art exhibitions, and community initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Proven experience teaching Art and Design within primary education.
- Strong knowledge of the Art and Design curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent classroom management and lesson planning skills.
- Commitment to inspiring creativity and fostering a positive learning environment.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a preparatory or independent school setting, particularly with boys.
- Understanding of inclusive teaching practices.
- Interest in contributing to extracurricular and community-based art initiatives.
- Familiarity with both digital and traditional art techniques.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £29,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
