We're looking for a passionate and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team You will be responsible for creating and executing innovative marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth. This role requires a strong understanding of the travel industry, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful marketing campaigns. You will also oversee website development and merchandising to ensure an optimal online presence and customer experience.

What you'll do:
  • Strategy & Research: Develop and implement marketing strategies tailored to our brand. Conduct market research to identify travel trends, competitor analysis, and customer preferences. Define target audience segments and build personalised marketing plans.
  • Brand Positioning: Enhance the company's brand image and positioning within the travel industry. Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and lead multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, email, print, and events. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to produce compelling marketing materials.
  • Performance Analysis: Utilise analytics tools to measure and report on campaign performance and return on investment. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Website & Merchandising: Oversee the creation of engaging content. Work closely with internal web dev to ensure effective conversion of visitors. Ensure online and offline merchandising aligns with brand proposition and campaign messaging.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing spend and return on investment.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small team of marketing professionals. Cultivate a collaborative and innovative work environment, working closely with other functions in the business.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product, sales, and customer service teams, as well as external partners such as tourism boards and local businesses.
  • Sustainability & Impact: Support Headwater's commitment to responsible tourism and positive impact on people, places, and planet.
What you'll bring:
  • A strong track record of developing and delivering high-impact, multi-channel campaigns that drive engagement, awareness, and measurable results — ideally with experience in the travel or leisure industry and a deep understanding of consumer behaviour and trends.
  • Proficiency across key marketing tools and platforms including Google Analytics, SEO, PPC, social media, CRM, and CRO, with a data-driven approach and the ability to translate insight into action. Experience with WordPress or HubSpot is an advantage.
  • Experienced in managing and inspiring teams, working cross-functionally, and taking a hands-on approach to ensure delivery at pace in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a results-oriented approach that balances creativity with commercial objectives.
  • Genuine passion for travel and global destinations, with the flexibility to travel occasionally and the agility to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
