About the Role

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and dedicated Domestic Support Worker to join our team.

The purpose of this role is to support vulnerable customers in maintaining clean, safe, and comfortable homes — promoting dignity, wellbeing, and independence in their daily lives.

Alongside light domestic duties, you may also provide companionship and assist with shopping visits, as well as support with light cleaning at care offices and care sites when required.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Carry out all general and light domestic duties in customers' homes, including:
  • Vacuuming, polishing, mopping, dusting, and emptying bins
  • Maintaining a clean, comfortable, and pleasant living environment
  • Provide light commercial cleaning at care offices and care sites as required, including:
  • Vacuuming, polishing, mopping, cleaning surfaces, and emptying bins
  • Assist customers with shopping visits, helping them access their community and maintain independence.
  • Offer companionship and social interaction, such as chatting, accompanying customers on short walks, or engaging in shared activities to reduce isolation.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in training on chemical management, infection control, health and safety, and safeguarding.
  • Attend training sessions as required to keep your skills and knowledge up to date.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure safe and high-quality service delivery.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Compassionate, patient, and understanding
  • Reliable and able to work independently
  • Friendly and approachable with good communication skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients at all times
  • Willing to undertake necessary training and professional development

Experience in domestic cleaning, care, or community support is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided.
