Astwood Smiles are searching for a special person who is passionate about teaching and learning and a dedicated Early Years Educator to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a genuine love for working with young children and the ability to support and deliver to a team .

This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children in their early years. The Supervisor will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning experience and supporting the growth of each child whilst providing guidance to the team.

This role involves being a key worker to a group of children, providing enriched activities, planning for events, leading a team and supporting the nursery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging educational activities that cater to the needs of children aged 0-5 years.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress, ensuring that individual needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
  • Manage behavior in a positive manner, promoting respect and cooperation among children.
  • plan activities that promote areas in the Birth to 5.
  • Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organised nursery space that reflects the children's interests and achievements.
  • lead a team of professional practitioners, providing experience and knowledge and showing best practice at all times.
  • be responsible for aspects of the nursery.

Experience

  • A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
  • A level 3 or above in Early Years is a must.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery is essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively engage with children and parents.
  • Leadership qualities to guide and inspire both children and fellow staff members.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory for this position.
  • Ability to manage diverse groups of children while fostering an inclusive environment is essential.

A current DBS is required and two references from previous roles.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.25-£13.80 per hour
