The Role:

- Teaching Excellence: Lead by example, delivering engaging and differentiated Art lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, fostering a love of art and developing students' artistic skills and knowledge.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of Art teachers, providing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Curriculum Development: Oversee the development and implementation of a dynamic and enriching Art curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and prepares students for further study and careers in the arts.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Teacher: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven track record of successful leadership in Art education.
- Subject Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of art history, theory, and practice, with experience in a range of artistic media and techniques.
- Inspirational Leader: Possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire both staff and students.
- Strategic Thinker: Be a strategic thinker with a clear vision for the future of art education, able to develop and implement innovative initiatives to enhance the department's success.
