The Role
As a Capture and Proposal Strategist you are a critical driver of Palantir's UK Government business growth. Through collaborating with business development and technical execution stakeholders, you will help expand Palantir's footprint in HMG by writing high quality, compelling proposals to win contracts. Detail-oriented, effective communicator, and creative writer, you are capable of turning complex technical concepts into persuasive proposals, white papers, project vision statements, presentations, and other business documentation. By understanding customer requirements, you will effectively deliver content that aligns with their business goals/needs. You will write technical and non-technical explanations of our software's capabilities and draft formal proposals that are easily digestible to the target audience.
Palantir is fast-paced, and you'll be expected to make decisions independently by weighing many needs and priorities. In this role, you'll wear many hats, arising to new business challenges while growing your skills and domain expertise on the job. We are looking for mission-driven teammates who can jump into any writing project with enthusiasm and operate at a high quality within tight deadlines.
Core Responsibilities- Serve as a primary author of Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP) and other capture artefacts
- Collaborate with internal teams to match our proposal language in a way that will resonate with customers
- Translate technical concepts into easily digestible reading materials for a variety of audiences
- Create persuasive content that showcases our products' strengths, capabilities, and solutions to address customer needs
- Take high-level details and raw inputs from partners and convert it into high-impact content for proposals
- Build templates and content from scratch that is easily modifiable across a variety of proposals and request for content
- Play a proactive role in account development, opportunity monitoring, qualification and capture strategy
- Manage the end-to-end bid process, leading teams of technical, delivery, commercial and legal subject matter experts
- Ability to quickly understand technical concepts, proactively learn with minimal instruction, and think creatively to produce artefacts
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with a team on a joint output, across departments / agencies / roles, and writing content that requires input from multiple stakeholders
- Interest in public policy and the priorities and operations of Government organisations
- 3+ years experience writing, drafting, and editing proposals for Government contracts
- Experience with conveying technical concepts through concise and compelling written communication
- Experience with project management
- An active security clearance (or ability and willingness to obtain one) at Secret level or higher
