Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks efficiently and accurately.
  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions smoothly.
  • Handle cash, credit card payments, and food handling with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling and register balancing.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders clearly, and addressing inquiries professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
  • Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, including basic food service duties like assembling sandwiches or snacks.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
  • Support team members during peak hours by multitasking between serving, cashiering, and cleaning duties.
  • Uphold health & safety standards in accordance with food safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred; enthusiasm to learn is equally valued.
  • Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly between tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work during holiday hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
