Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team to cover holidays and sickness, Mainly in the centre of Birmingham but can include surrounding areas and Solihull

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and previous janitorial experience to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment. The position is paid and suitable for those who take pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial settings
  • Maintain cleanliness of washrooms, kitchens, and communal areas according to company standards
  • Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
  • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
  • Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning duties
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
  • Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and security of premises

Skills

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Knowledge of safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality service
  • Ability to adapt to different cleaning environments and tasks efficiently
