We are looking for motivated and ambitious individuals to join our team as 
Trainee Shift Managers
 across our 
AMH McDonald's stores
. This is an exciting opportunity for those who are passionate about leadership, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to develop a rewarding career in restaurant management.

As part of this programme, you will undergo an 
assessment for a managerial position
, rather than a standard On-the-Job Evaluation (OJE). Successful candidates will be 
fast-tracked into a management role
, gaining hands-on experience and structured training to become a certified McDonald's Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a diverse team to deliver outstanding results.
  • Make effective decisions under pressure to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and manage customer recovery situations with professionalism.
  • Support the team in maintaining operational standards, food quality, and cleanliness.
  • Develop skills in 
    people management
    , 
    leadership
    , and 
    financial understanding
     to drive business performance.

Requirements:

  • Attend a weekly management development cohort.
  • Willingness to work across all AMH stores within the franchise network.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and development.
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is advantageous, but not essential.

Pay and Progression:

  • Starting rate: 
    £12.50 per hour
     as a Trainee.
  • Progression to a higher rate upon 
    certification as a Manager
    .
  • Candidates with relevant educational qualifications
     may be eligible for an enhanced starting rate.
