Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative CAD Drafter to join our clients design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing precise technical drawings and models that support engineering, and construction projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise advanced CAD software and contribute to innovative design solutions within a collaborative environment.

Duties

  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Investor, and SolidWorks
  • Create accurate schematics, system designs, and construction documentation in line with project specifications
  • Utilise programmes like SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, and 3ds for modelling complex geometries and visualisations
  • Collaborate with engineers, and designers to interpret design concepts and translate them into technical drawings
  • Assist in the preparation of graphic designs for presentations and client proposals
  • Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards and project requirements
  • Maintain organised digital files of all drawings and models for easy access and revision control

Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD programmes including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Investor, SolidWorks, and Rhinoceros 3D
  • Experience with SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, 3ds , and system design software is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of schematics, construction processes, and system integration
  • Ability to produce high-quality graphic designs relevant to architectural or engineering projects
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in drafting accuracy
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of industry standards for technical drawings and documentation

This position is ideal for a motivated individual eager to develop their career in architectural or engineering drafting within a professional setting.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, between 7am and 4pm.
