Teaching Assistant

St Swithun's is an oversubscribed 'Good' school with a friendly, welcoming environment where every child is valued.  We are looking to appoint a motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant who have a passion for every child's learning and believe in enabling an inclusive environment for the benefit of all children.  Joining our friendly and supportive team, we need flexible, reliable and enthusiastic colleagues to support all children.

You will work as part of a team to provide personal and learning support to a class, however may also be required to work with smaller groups of pupils to enable them to achieve to the best of their ability.  

You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, preferably with experience of working in KS1. 

With a flexible, reliable and enthusiastic approach, you will be committed to developing effective working relationships with children, parents/carers, staff and other professionals, to enable the very best support for pupils' learning and development, whilst promoting excellent behaviour and high standards.

We do require all applicants to have English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.0 with no component score below 5.5 as well as English and Maths GCSE Grade 5 or above.

Contract: Fixed term, initially until July 2026, term time only 

Hours: Monday – Friday 8.45 am – 12.30 pm, 18.75 hours per week (please note all annual leave to be taken during school holidays)

Salary Details: Band 3 FTE £24,796 - £25,201 pro-rata £10,898 - £11,076
