CDE is now seeking to appoint an Electrician Team Lead (MKT) for a full-time permanent role with an immediate start date.
About The Role
Job Purpose
This role is to oversee the electrical workflow at our facility in MKT. The role may require a hands-on approach if required. The electrical lead is also responsible for coaching, resolving issues and serving as a link between subordinates and upper management.
The ideal candidate will be a competent individual who will be able to guide and train employees. They will be well-versed in processes under the role's responsibility and will be results-driven and focused.
The goal is to ensure that operations are carried out productively to ensure on time delivery of CDE equipment from the factory.
Responsibilities
This role includes the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring projects are electrically progressed as per Production schedule
- Ability to prioritise and manage allocated work
- Ensure all works are carried out to the highest of standards including tidy wiring and swarf removal, instil a culture of high-quality workmanship to other members of the team.
- Ensure all test inspection processes on the pre-wiring cabling and control panels are fully tested and recorded as required to CDE's checkproof app, prior to despatch.
- Ensure all works are carried out in a safe manner and with full H & S compliance
- Comply with 6S adherence to company policy.

Skills, Knowledge, Attributes And Experience, The Successful Candidate Will
- Qualification/ Relevant Experience
- GCSE English and Maths grade C or higher
- Fully trained Electrician
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar environment
- Experience of working with SWA cables
- Experience of 3 phase supply and working with live panels
- Providing robust training of new starts/graduates to allow for efficient onboarding
- Coaching and mentoring electricians to develop their skills, and monitoring of competencies
- Working to ensure resources are adequately assigned to projects so that schedules are adhered to

Required Criteria
- Good level of secondary education with high degree of numeracy and literacy
- Engineering discipline or Qualified Electrician (or 5years relevant experience)
- Experience in supervising an electrical team
- Knowledge of starter systems, VFD, Soft start, S/D and DOL systems
- Testing control panels
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- The ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Ability to set and meet timelines and motivate team
- Able to work under pressure
- Dependable and reliable
- Willingness to develop and adapt to new situations
- Available to work flexible hours
