We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Crane Supervisor / Slinger Signaller to join our client's construction and civils team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of heavy materials and equipment on-site in Ipswich. The hourly rate of pay will be £24ph which can be paid on a CIS basis, the duration for the Crane Supervisor / Slinger Signaller vacancy will be for five months for the best candidate.

The role requires a blue carded Crane Lifting Supervisor and Slinger / Signaller

Responsibilities

  • Safely manoeuvre and position heavy loads using appropriate slinging techniques and equipment
  • Assist with the setup and dismantling of lifting gear, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with crane operators, site managers, and other team members to coordinate lifts
  • Using two-way radios and hand signals
  • Conduct routine inspections of slinging gear and lifting equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained
  • Drive company vehicles as required to transport materials or equipment between site locations
  • Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents immediately
  • Maintain organisation of materials on-site to facilitate smooth workflow

Hourly Rate

  • £24ph CIS

Hours of Work

  • 7.30am to 6pm

Must Have

  • CPCS blue card with Crane Lifting Supervisor and Slinger / Signaller
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and site personnel
  • Checkable references
  • Valid certificate of fitness to work
  • Ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy loads when necessary
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail in handling equipment and materials
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
