CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER WITH HANDS ON ABILITY

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager who is confident both leading from the front and getting hands-on when needed. You will be responsible for overseeing two active developments, Plus assisting with some minor refurbishment of a larger portfolio

The main focus of the job will be major conversion project transforming a large site into 20+ high-quality apartments.

This role suits someone organised, proactive, and comfortable balancing site leadership with practical involvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage two concurrent developments, ensuring smooth delivery from planning to completion.
  • Lead the 20+ apartment conversion project, coordinating trades, schedules, and quality control.
  • Oversee daily site operations, subcontractors, direct labour, and health & safety compliance.
  • Provide hands-on support during crucial build stages and problem-solving on site.
  • Being able to assist with hands on work especially if we experience slow processes throughout the build project
  • Monitor progress, prepare reports, and maintain tight control over budgets and timelines.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, building control, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a Construction Project Manager or Site Manager stepping up.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, ideally with refurbishment/conversion experience.
  • Ability to be hands-on and support site teams directly when required.
  • CSCS card preferred; SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
