Chair of Trustees

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Trustee to join our organisation. The Trustee will play a vital role in overseeing the strategic direction, governance, and overall integrity of the organisation. Responsibilities

• Attend and actively participate in trustee meetings, contributing to discussions and decision-making processes.
• Provide strategic oversight and guidance to ensure the organisation meets its objectives and complies with relevant regulations.
• Support the development and implementation of organisational policies and programmes.
• Assist in fundraising efforts, including promoting organisational initiatives within the community.
• Monitor organisational performance and financial health, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Advocate for the organisation's mission within the community, fostering relationships with stakeholders.
• Contribute expertise in teaching or educational activities to enhance programme delivery and outreach efforts.

Skills

• Proven experience in leadership or community roles, with a strong understanding of UK charity laws.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, capable of balancing multiple commitments effectively.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while exercising independent judgement.
• Commitment to organisational values, ethics, and community service.
