Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Trustee to join our organisation. The Trustee will play a vital role in overseeing the strategic direction, governance, and overall integrity of the organisation. Responsibilities
- Attend and actively participate in trustee meetings, contributing to discussions and decision-making processes.
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance to ensure the organisation meets its objectives and complies with relevant regulations.
- Support the development and implementation of organisational policies and programmes.
- Assist in fundraising efforts, including promoting organisational initiatives within the community.
- Monitor organisational performance and financial health, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Advocate for the organisation's mission within the community, fostering relationships with stakeholders.
- Contribute expertise in teaching or educational activities to enhance programme delivery and outreach efforts.
Skills
- Proven experience in leadership or community roles, with a strong understanding of UK charity laws.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, capable of balancing multiple commitments effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while exercising independent judgement.
- Commitment to organisational values, ethics, and community service.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive approach to governance responsibilities. This role provides an enriching opportunity for individuals passionate about mental health and community development to make a positive impact while gaining valuable governance experience.
