ABOUT THE CLIENT:

Our client is a key delivery partner within the UK Defence sector, responsible for managing and maintaining secure infrastructure across high-profile government sites. They are known for their technical excellence and collaborative approach, working closely with military and civilian stakeholders. Due to an increase in workload across the Southeast region, they are seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to join the team.

THE PROJECT MANAGER ROLE:

As Project Manager, you will lead both new build and refurbishment projects through the full construction cycle. You'll manage projects from design through to completion, ensuring delivery against key milestones, cost targets, and governance requirements. Working closely with the client, supply chain and wider team, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering complex Defence estate projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading projects through all RIBA stages, from scoping to completion
  • Managing stakeholder relationships across multiple levels, including military personnel
  • Overseeing design, procurement, construction and project closure
  • Reporting on progress, risks and opportunities to senior leadership
  • Ensuring compliance with project governance, cost, and safety standards

PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • DV Clearance (current or recently lapsed)
  • Sole UK citizen, willing to undergo additional clearance
  • Background in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
  • CSCS Card and valid SMSTS qualification
  • Health and Safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH)
  • Understanding of RIBA phases
  • Strong communication and commercial awareness
