Residential Support Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to assist children in a caring environment. The successful candidate will provide essential support to children with diverse needs, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives through personalised care and support. The role will be on a shift basis and sleep shifts will also be required. These are paid additionally at £65 per sleep, per shift.
Duties
- Assist children with daily activities, promoting independence and confidence
- Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Support children's emotional and behavioural development through engaging activities
- Facilitate communication between children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Drive children to appointments or activities as required, maintaining safe driving practices
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and progress made
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at all times
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver consistent and high-quality support services
Skills
- Experience working with children in a care or educational setting is highly desirable
- Level 3 qualification desirable in the children and young people workforce.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Ability to use IT systems for record keeping and care plan management
- Driving licence is essential for transporting children safely to various locations
- Knowledge of child development principles and childcare best practices
- Organised and reliable with excellent organisational skills
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to meet the individual needs of each child
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £24,420.00-£25,697.42 per year
