What this role is all about:

Vitality Corporate Services Limited is looking for a Financial Controller to lead financial reporting and controls across our UK operations. You'll manage intercompany transactions, statutory accounts, regulatory submissions, and audits, while providing strategic guidance on accounting and business decisions. This role works closely with audit, tax, and finance teams to ensure compliance and support the future direction of the business.

Key Actions

  • Month-End & Management Reporting – Deliver accurate month-end close and management accounts in collaboration with the wider finance team.
  • Intercompany & Business Unit Recharges – Oversee all recharge processes and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Statutory Accounts & Regulatory Reporting – Lead preparation of annual financial statements and manage regulatory submissions, including RMAR and FCA filings.
  • Planning & Forecasting – Support annual planning and long-term financial forecasts, aligning assumptions with business strategy.
  • Audit Leadership – Act as the main contact for external audits and coordinate internal audit responses.
  • Accounting Compliance & Technical Oversight – Ensure compliance with accounting standards and manage complex areas such as IFRS 16 leases and intangible assets.
  • Financial Control & Continuous Improvement – Maintain a robust control environment and drive process improvements across reporting and compliance.

What do you need to thrive?

  • Comfortable getting into the detail and taking ownership of tasks, while also contributing to strategic discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of working collaboratively across finance, tax, audit, and systems teams.
  • Hands-on experience in preparing and delivering Annual Financial Statements, including liaising with auditors and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a large corporate structure, navigating cross-functional teams and governance frameworks.
  • Fully Qualified Accountant -(e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical accounting knowledge and post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting within a complex, multi-entity environment, including month-end close, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.
