About the Role

St Peter's CE (Aided) Primary School, Cowfold, is looking for a capable and enthusiastic Clerk to our Governing Body at St Peter's CE (Aided) Primary School, Potters Green, Cowfold, to start as soon as possible.

The job entails attending approximately 12 evening meetings a year (6:30pm to 8:30pm). The Clerk's role includes preparation of agendas and papers for meetings, taking and writing up of minutes, advising on legal procedures, dealing with correspondence for governors when necessary and acting as custodian of records. The Clerk will also be expected to attend some initial training and attend termly briefings. Good IT skills will be necessary as the majority of work is now paperless. Job Details

Salary is based on NJ Grade 4 currently (£13.26 gross per hour). The Clerk has a zero hours' contract and claims for hours worked, on a monthly basis. Therefore, the hours are very flexible, apart from the evening governors' meetings. Hours worked per annum would equate to between 70 and 100 hours.
