We are looking for a full time Accounts Assistant (6 month FTC) to help cover maternity leave. Youll join a friendly team and provide support to the Finance Manager by maintaining accurate files and entering data in a timely fashion.

Accounts Assistant (6 month FTC)

Full Time, Fixed Term

Ideal start time from beginning of December 2025 to start of January 2026

Responsibilities will include:

  • Data Entry
  • Bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts
  • Entering Purchase Invoices in Xero
  • Monitoring Dept inbox, actioning and forwarding to relevant colleagues where necessary
  • Processing Staff Expenses
  • Liaise with colleagues regarding company spend transactions
  • Company point of contact for supplier queries
  • Assisting in building of weekly payment runs across multiple companies
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required

We are recruiting for a full time position working between the hours of 9am and 5.00pm.

Experience:

  • Purchase and Sales ledger, raising and entering invoices in Xero
  • Bank reconciliations
  • An understanding of accounts and double entry
  • Xero experience
  • Dealing with multiple currencies, bank accounts, departments and entities
  • Proficient in Excel

Skills:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy essential
  • Organised & responsible
  • Computer literate with experience of e-mail and the internet
  • Ability to multi task, prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues
  • Confidentiality and discretion
  • Flexibility, enjoys change and has ability to take on new challenges
  • Self starter who can hit the ground running but also keen to learn and improve existing skills
