A Legionella Assessor is responsible for conducting risk assessments, inspections, and monitoring activities to ensure that water systems comply with legislation and best practices for controlling Legionella bacteria. The role helps reduce the risk of Legionnaires' disease by identifying hazards, evaluating risks, and recommending appropriate control measures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Portable Appliance Tests (PAT) on a variety of electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards.
• Analyse test results accurately to identify potential faults or safety concerns.
• Maintain detailed records of all testing procedures, results, and any corrective actions taken.
• Assist in the organisation and scheduling of testing appointments to optimise workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of quality assurance across all testing activities.
• Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all testing procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform Legionella risk assessments on a wide range of water systems (hot and cold water systems, cooling towers, process water, etc.).
• Conduct site surveys to identify potential sources of Legionella growth and transmission.

Requirements

• Proven experience or strong interest in quality assurance.
• Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical data accurately.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure precise record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications or training in PAT testing and Legionella is essential.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
