We are a professional and experienced Principal Contractor with a positive reputation for delivering high quality construction projects. We operate a multi-disciplinary business working with clients to deliver new build and refurbishment projects in the commercial, educational and industrial sectors.
Job Description
Due to the growth of the business, we are looking to hire a new Estimator for our Exeter office.
As an Estimator, you will be working with the Estimating Team, working closely with them in delivering competitive, high quality tender returns. You will work closely with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are costed accurately, within an organised system, on time.
Your responsibilities will include,
Sending enquiries/requesting quotes from our approved suppliers and subcontractors
Analysing and comparing quotations and costs
Completing take-offs and calculations from design drawings and schedules
Pricing/negotiation of multiple stage tenders, including completing preliminary costings and forms of tender
Using historic rates and/or experience to price work
Helping to promote and seek new tender opportunities in co-ordination with the Directors
Assisting in preparing documents for tender adjudications
Making site visits, conducting site surveys, taking photos for records and making observations as necessary for pricing purposes
You will be based in our Exeter office working with the Estimating Team. You will be required to make site visits around Devon as and when necessary. Working hours are 7:30am until 5:00pm.

What We're Looking For:
We welcome applicants who have an established career in construction estimation. Additionally, you may already be working as,
An estimator or surveyor
Or you may have completed a construction-related course (Degree, HNC etc)
Or you may have relevant transferable skills or experience from another role or industry
Experience in a construction related role.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management principles, and safety regulations.
A good telephone demeanour.
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with a good eye for detail.
Proficient in project management software and MS Office.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to construction sites as needed.
