Team Leader – Bowl Central Reading

Following our successful launches in Bournemouth and Fareham, we're excited to have recently opened our third site in Reading, and we're now looking for a Team Leader to join our management structure.

Bowl Central is a boutique entertainment venue that combines a premium hospitality experience with a fun, social atmosphere. The venue features two key areas:

Pins – A cocktail bar & lounge with seven boutique bowling lanes, AR darts, and pool tables, designed for corporate events, private functions, and social gatherings.

Prizes – A cashless family entertainment centre featuring redemption and skill-based arcade machines, offering fun for all ages.

Bowl Central is all about delivering outstanding customer service in a lively, engaging, and welcoming environment.

The Role

As a Team Leader, you will support the management team in the day-to-day running of the venue, taking responsibility for leading shifts, supporting the front-of-house team, and ensuring excellent service standards are maintained at all times.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone looking to take the next step into leadership. You will act as a key link between the team and management, helping shifts run smoothly while delivering a great guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Guest Experience

• Lead by example to deliver excellent customer service.
• Be a visible presence on shift, welcoming and engaging with guests.
• Support service across bowling, bar, and arcade areas.
• Handle customer queries and minor complaints confidently, escalating where required.
• Ensure food and drinks are served to a high standard.

Team Support & Shift Leadership

• Support and guide team members during shifts.
• Help delegate tasks and keep service running smoothly.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new starters.
• Ensure company standards for uniform, appearance, and professionalism are upheld.
• Support opening and closing procedures when required.

Venue Standards & Compliance

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards throughout the venue.
• Follow and support health & safety, food safety, and licensing procedures.
• Identify and report any operational or maintenance issues.
• Assist with stock awareness and product quality checks.

What We're Looking For

Personal Specifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or senior team member role within hospitality, leisure, or entertainment.
• Confident, approachable, and able to lead a team on shift.
• Strong customer service focus with a positive, energetic attitude.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and peak periods.

Skills & Qualities

• Comfortable supporting a team and stepping up when needed.
• Organised and reliable, with good attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop into a more senior role over time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
