Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 3.5 Tonne Driver with the ability to tow to join our family business driving a Mercedes sprinter flatbed pickup. Bonus if they have a 7.5t/Class 2/Class 1 licence. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations all over the UK.

Duties

  • Operate a 3.5t pickup for the transportation of goods.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.

Qualifications

  • Valid UK driving licence (3.5t with towing, 7.5 Tonne or class 1/2)
  • Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Pay

  • £12.50 per hour + £14 overtime (average 40-50 hours per week)
