A new vacancy has arisen in the Housing Strategy and Investment Team for a Housing Strategy Officer.

As part of the Council's Housing and Regeneration Department, the successful candidate will be joining a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team that is responsible for delivering the Council's wide ranging strategic housing priorities. This includes increasing the supply of affordable housing, bringing empty properties back into use, housing led regeneration and improving housing standards across the County Borough.

You will perform a central role in the team and will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring housing policies, strategies and associated action plans. You will be responsible for delivering complex projects and schemes, including grant schemes and other interventions that support the delivery of affordable housing. You will be a flexible team player and have excellent communication skills. As part of this, a key aspect of the role is to develop and maintain relationships with partners and key stakeholders and to evaluate the impact of schemes and projects. You will have a broad knowledge of current housing issues and have experience of partnership working and bidding for external funding.
