A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a
Lead Software Developer
to join a department to assist with the development of advanced synthetic environments and weapon system simulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance synthetic environments and simulation components using C# and C++
  • Collaborate closely with Project Leads, Simulation Architects and wider engineering teams
  • Lead and mentor a small software development team
  • Contribute to innovation across the full product lifecycle
  • Integrate real products, models and synthetic tools into visualisation, training and V&V solutions
  • Support experimentation activities and the creation of new capabilities

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Experience developing real-time or simulation-driven software
  • Exposure to standards such as DIS or HLA
  • Experience working with AR/VR visualisation or synthetic environments
  • A collaborative and open approach to multi-project software development

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Strong background in software development with C# and C++
  • Ability to lead a small team and drive technical direction
  • Robust approach to problem solving and system-wide thinking
  • Ability to work on complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects
