Led by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT) and in partnership with YMCA Downslink, the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service provides support to children, young people and adults with mild to moderate mental health needs. We offer a variety of support and psychological therapies to the community of Brighton and Hove. Our interventions are diverse and evidence based, ranging from guided self-help and face-to-face or telephone support to workshop and group courses. We work closely with our Service-User steering group to refine and improve the services that we offer.

For this role you will need accreditation as a BABCP Cognitive Behavioural Therapist or be eligible for accreditation. You will need to be able to: Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the service's referral protocols Formulate, implement and evaluate CBT therapy programmes for clients Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying CYP CBT formulations with sensitivity in easily understood language Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the number of client contacts offered and clinical sessions carried out in order to minimise waiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient. Attend multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or clients in treatment, where appropriate Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service and keep coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols As a member of the CYP Wellbeing team, work closely with other practitioners ensuring appropriate transfers of care where necessary Attend regular clinical supervision of clinical practice and line management supervision] Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating, professional and accrediting bodies Keep up to date all records in relation to CPD and ensure personal development plan maintains up to date specialist knowledge of latest theoretical and service delivery models/developments Contribute to the development of best practice within the service Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and procedures in relation to mental health and primary care services If you are interested in this post and have any queries, having read the job pack, you can speak to Conrad Foote Service , or Emma Steiner CYP Clinical Lead
