Graduate DevOps/HPC Engineer

We have a new opportunity to be part of our IT team in the role of Graduate DevOps/HPC Engineer.
This is a two-year fixed-term graduate programme designed to expose you to both DevOps and High-Performance Computing (HPC) roles, supporting core business services and critical performance engineering functions. You'll spend nine months in each area, followed by a final six-month placement tailored to your strengths and interests. This is a unique opportunity to build experience in a fast-paced, high-tech environment that has a direct impact on the performance of our F1 cars.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn DevOps:
- Supporting and developing our CI/CD capabilities.
- Assisting with the deployment and maintenance of on-premise and Azure-hosted applications.
- Collaborating with Infrastructure and Cloud Operations teams to ensure robust application and service delivery.
- Onboarding new applications and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Monitoring service health and resolving issues proactively.
In HPC:
- Supporting the configuration and operation of HPC clusters.
- Contributing to automation through scripting and infrastructure as code.
- Assisting with job scheduling, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Participating in physical hardware management and system upgrades.
- Ensuring secure and scalable compute environments for Aero, CFD, Structures, and Performance Engineering teams.
- A strong understanding of Linux system administration and cloud services.
- Experience or familiarity with GitOps workflows and code/image repositories.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines (CNCF certifications desirable).
- Awareness of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- A general understanding of parallel computing, workload schedulers, and distributed systems is advantageous.
- Ability to apply best practices for application security.
- Programming or scripting experience in at least one language such as C#, Python, or Bash.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
