Small Tools Calibration Engineer

We're working with a market-leading provider of garage and workshop equipment who are looking for a
Small Tools Calibration Engineer
to cover the Birmingham and wider West Midlands region.

This is a
field-based role
that offers full product and calibration training — previous direct experience isn't required. If you have a general engineering, mechanical, or electrical background and enjoy working hands-on, this could be a great next step.

The Role

  • Carry out on-site calibration, testing, and inspection of small tools and workshop equipment such as torque wrenches, airline gauges, lifting tools, and measuring devices.
  • Complete minor repair, adjustment, and maintenance tasks to ensure all tools meet calibration and compliance standards.
  • Produce accurate documentation and calibration certificates, maintaining detailed service records.
  • Plan and manage daily site visits, completing scheduled calibrations and ad-hoc call-outs.
  • Deliver excellent customer service on site, advising clients on tool condition, compliance, and best practices.
  • Maintain van stock and adhere to all company health & safety procedures.

Experience & Skills

  • Any form of engineering, mechanical, electrical, or technical background.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Organised and able to work independently in the field.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.

  • £26,000 – £29,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
