Senior Care Assistant Nights- required for our brand-new luxury care home 'Selwood House' in Charlton Down, Dorchester, Dorset, Part of the Country Court Family.

Hours: Nights 44 Hours per week, working weekends on rota (Shift Times 20:00-08:00)

Selwood House Care Home located in Charlton Down near Dorchester accommodates up to 84 residents, and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater for various care needs. Specialising in residential care, dementia care, and short-term respite care, Selwood House will provide a warm welcome as soon as you set foot through the door.

ABOUT THE SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT ROLE

Within your role as a Senior Care Assistant, you can really make a difference to our residents' lives. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Aiding residents emotional well-being and social needs
  • Administration and monitoring of medications to residents.
  • Supporting residents at meals time
  • Mentor & assist new employees.
  • Implement, monitor and review care plans to meet residents specific needs.
  • Plan, allocate & supervise the work of the team of care assistants

ABOUT YOUOur fantastic staff are at the heart of our homes & provide vital day-to-day support to our residents. Having those care values is vital to share a happy home, so we would love to hear from those who really do want to make a difference to people's lives.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social care or willing to work towards this.
  • Experience as a Senior Care Assistant & leading a team.
  • Be no stranger to working night shifts
  • Have a friendly & caring attitude.
  • Able to engage well with the residents and their families
  • Have an understanding of people with Dementia
  • Great communication skills, both written & verbal.
