Apprentice Plumber

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Plumber to join our team. Duties

• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Support with welding and assembly tasks as required for pipe fitting and system connections
• Apply basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues and perform routine inspections
• Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure smooth workflow
• Follow safety procedures and adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly
• Support carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations when necessary
• Assist with basic measurements and calculations using fundamental maths skills for precise fitting

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary; a strong willingness to learn is essential
• Basic understanding of plumbing principles or related trades is advantageous but not mandatory
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and basic assembly equipment safely
• Mechanical aptitude with an interest in developing specialised skills such as welding or carpentry
• Physical fitness capable of heavy lifting and working in various environments
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail
• Valid driving licence for commercial driving tasks (preferred but not essential)
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills
