About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team supporting the Sizewell C project, a groundbreaking nuclear power station delivering low-carbon electricity to millions. The HR Generalist will be instrumental in developing and implementing a comprehensive people plan, establishing an on-site HR service from the ground up to support our expanding workforce. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the success of a high-profile infrastructure project through strategic HR initiatives and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, foster strong stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the broader HR strategy aligned with project goals. The position requires a proactive approach, resilience, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, ensuring that HR processes support the project's long-term sustainability and performance objectives.
Qualifications
- CIPD qualification at Level 3 or higher, or actively studying towards
- Proven experience as a Generalist HR Advisor in a site-based environment
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and employee relations
- Experience in aligning HR activities with business and site-specific goals
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Full valid UK Driving Licence and own transport
- Adaptability and resilience in a change-driven, fast-paced setting
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing all HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, development, and exit procedures
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, managers, and the wider HR community
- Championing talent management initiatives and driving workforce development activities across the site
- Providing expert advice to managers and employees on employee relations, policies, and HR activities
- Facilitating change management processes such as restructuring, redundancy, redeployment, and TUPE consultations
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting HR data to identify trends and develop strategic solutions
- Supporting recruitment efforts, including workforce planning, conducting interviews, and representing Dalkia at local recruitment events
- Developing and maintaining HR guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice
- Contributing to HR strategy development, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
