Job Overview

We are seeking reliable and professional Patient Transport Drivers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting passengers to various locations covering the Kent wide area. This role requires excellent driving skills, kind and compassionate character, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to adhere to all safety regulations. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics services, while maintaining high standards of customer service for vulnerable patients.

Duties

  • Load and unload vulnerable patients with care, ensuring they are secure during transit and at all times
  • Safely operate company vehicles, mainly vans, in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
  • Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
  • Maintain accurate records of journeys, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance checks
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly
  • Assist with loading and unloading when necessary
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients and recipients
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements

  • Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type
  • Clean Enhanced DBS
  • Proven experience as a Patient Transport Driver or similar role is desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of the local area and navigation skills
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to plan efficient routes
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Good physical fitness for loading/unloading tasks if required
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary
