In this role, you will provide knowledgeable aerodynamic input to the Aero Correlation group, identifying and delivering the best information to build a clear understanding of race car performance. You will develop tools, methods, and strategies to improve aerodynamic understanding and strengthen correlation between track data, wind tunnel, and CFD results. Working closely with Aero Development, Aero Test, and CFD teams, you will build strong relationships across departments to maximize performance gains and ensure upgrades deliver results on track.

• Identifying and providing the best information to build an understanding of the aerodynamic performance of the race car that enables higher confidence levels in delivering performance upgrades to the track
• Develop tools and strategies to help aerodynamic understanding
• Contribute to improved methods and tools for correlation between track data and Wind Tunnel/CFD data
• Develop tools and strategies to improve the aerodynamic understanding of the car's performance
• Work closely with the Aero Development, Aero Test and CFD groups
• Develop good relationships with other engineer groups (vehicle performance, race engineering)

What do you need to bring to the team?

• A degree in a relevant discipline (Aerodynamics/Aeronautics) or equivalent
• An excellent understanding of aerodynamics is required, with a keen attention to detail and must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Well versed with Track, CFD and Wind Tunnel test techniques
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors
• Clear and concise communication, verbally and written, including with key stakeholders and directors
• Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture
• Provide a flexible attendance and attitude to work, in line with the requirements for the role and specific project requirements
