Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Support Operator to join our dynamic team.

As a Production Support Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and de-kitting the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line components before and after Production, supporting high-quality production standards.

Responsibilities

SMT Kit Setup

  • SMT Feeder Loading, splicing, reels and trays to pre-prepared documentation from a supplied kit.
  • Picking of line side stock, required in addition to the kit.
  • PCB Setup, loading for the production line processes

SMT De-Kitting

  • Removing SMT components from feeders, returning to the kit, in defined order.
  • Component counting, as required.
  • Supporting Stores with kit return, as required.

SMT Production Support

  • SMT line running under guidance of SMT Machine Operators.
  • Reflow Operation – production of assembled PCBs through the reflow oven process.

General Production Support

  • Across Production, to aide the smooth transition of assemblies, including supporting Dispatch.

Experience

Preferred, 2+ years' of proven experience in a similar role, with;

  • Experience of working with SMT components.
  • Experience of Moisture Sensitivity Levels (MSL).
  • Experience of reading and following work/build instructions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and calmly verbally.

Willing to consider, experience of transferable skills, for example working in an assembly role (electronics or otherwise) with;

  • Small components.
  • Setup/preparation tasks.
  • Following work/build instructions.
  • Handling of stock, familiarity with part numbers and batches.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
