Your role in the team
The Financial Analyst analyses financial results for key products, markets and initiatives. This position leverages data-driven analysis to support the approved budget, execute leadership directives, monitor results and tracks performance, identify potential issues and prompts corrective actions using financial tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop effective presentations for small groups; prepare and help build storyline for financial updates
- Provide accurate, timely reports with financial insight to allow business partners to improve performance
- Use analysis to influence and drive action within finance and our business partners by using fact-based, holistic and forward-looking perspectives to identify emerging issues and assist in implementation of strategies
- Isolate key drivers, quantify impacts, and forecast implications to the business
- Process invoices, assign appropriate accounting treatment and GL coding for various expense types and fixed assets.
- Run applicable accounts payable status reports and coordinate the monthly expense accruals for the department.
- Support expense tracking processes and maintain accurate records
- Track and maintain purchase contracts records as applicable
- Track construction projects payment status and outstanding balances; record projects accruals for items based on company predetermined thresholds
- Analyse the work-in-progress for projects completions and maintain the assets under construction accounts and capitalize projects per the completion schedule.
- Prepare and post lower complexity routine journal entries and adjustments to the general ledger as needed.
- Perform basic general ledger account reconciliations.
- Work closely with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure smooth financial operations.
Essential Skills
- All applicants must demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate. Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this vacancy
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Finance, Accountancy role or a related field.
- Experience in MS Excel using advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, etc.
- Proven ability to prepare accurate financial reports and deliver presentations using PowerPoint to stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
- Basic knowledge of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ability to apply AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate)
- Working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts related to accounts payable
- Prior experience with SAP – S4/Hana and/or Analysis for Office
- Prior exposure to real estate finance and operations
