Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Worker to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they assist, particularly children. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a proactive approach to daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personal care and assistance to clients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, with a focus on children.
  • Engage with clients through meaningful activities that promote their well-being and development.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of care provided, including any changes in client condition.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation as needed.
  • Utilise IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in childcare or similar roles is an advantage.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as necessary.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with clients and their families.
