Summary: A Production operatorwill be required to work on-line as part of the production team in the controlled environment of the cleanroom suite, processing and packaging medical devices manufactured by the company or brought in from sub-contractors.

Job Purpose: To carry out all the various process operations required to package medical devices and to work within the requirements of the Quality Management System established by DTR Medical Products Ltd.

Key Responsibilities and Authorities

· Carrying out the processing and packaging of medical devices in the cleanroom according to instructions from the Team Leader and documented standard operating procedures including cleaning, pouching, labelling, sealing and boxing activities.

· Maintaining standards of quality set by the company as regards attention to detail and accuracy of all work undertaken.

· Operating low risk packaging machinery in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and documented standard operating procedures e.g. band sealers, blister forming and sealing machine, 4-side sealing machine, vacuum sealer and labelling head and conveyor.

· Packing and counting pouched product into cartons for sterilisation.

· Carrying out routine line clearance and bench cleaning activities between jobs and at the beginning and the end of each shift.

· Correctly maintaining and completing all control documents and devices throughout the cleanroom process.

· Maintaining the cleanliness of the cleanroom environment by adhering to cleanroom rules relating to personal hygiene, health, dress code and behaviour.

· Identifying opportunities for improvement for the company so as to become a Lean Manufacturer and participate as relevant in lean activities and developments.

Required Qualifications

Education: No specific qualifications are required as full training will be given.

Key Skills and special aptitudes: Attention to detail, manual dexterity and speed, good literacy and numeracy.

Disposition and personal qualities: Cheerful disposition, willingness to help others and work as a team. positive attitude towards work and authority, reliability, punctuality, self-reliance and self-motivation.
