Job Overview:

HVL are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pipe and Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems, as well as mechanical components in various settings, including industrial, commercial, and residential environments. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately install and assemble piping systems and mechanical equipment.

• Measure, cut, and install pipes using appropriate tools and methods.

• Assemble and install mechanical components such as pumps, valves, and compressors.

• Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within piping and mechanical systems; perform necessary repairs or replacements.

• Maintain and repair existing mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other tradespeople to facilitate smooth operations and project completion.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

• Keep detailed records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.

• Proven experience as a Pipe and Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.

• Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy materials.

• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.

• Uk driving license required
