Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. Your management and leadership skills will be essential in guiding both the children and your colleagues in daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Implement engaging activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
  • Maintain a safe and clean nursery environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records of their development.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to create an inclusive atmosphere for all children.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.

Skills

  • Strong management and leadership abilities to guide a team effectively.
  • Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is preferred.
  • A solid understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to drive is advantageous for potential outings or transport needs.
  • A nurturing attitude towards childcare with the ability to engage children in learning activities.
