Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate chef to join our team. You will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This position is ideal for individuals looking to advance their culinary skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work closely with experienced chefs, gaining valuable insights into food production and kitchen management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to recipes and specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Support senior chefs in cooking and plating dishes during service periods.
  • Participate in stock management, including receiving deliveries and inventory control.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors while demonstrating leadership skills within the team.
  • Engage in continuous learning about culinary techniques, food presentation, and hospitality practices.

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen experience is essentail, with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques.
  • Demonstrated culinary experience or formal training in hospitality or culinary arts is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, showcasing strong team management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
  • Supervising experience is beneficial for those looking to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning and development.
  • A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.
  • Able to work during the day, evenings and weekends is must
